| Supporting the London
Waste Authorities
The corporate objective of LWA was to promote for the public benefit waste management practices which promote the conservation, protection, improvement and sustainability of the physical and natural environment in and around London.
Through the partnership with both London Councils and the Greater London Authority, LWA supported all London boroughs, the Corporation of London and the four statutory waste disposal authorities - East London Waste Authority, North London Waste Authority, West London Waste Authority and Western Riverside Waste Authority, in their roles as statutory waste collection or waste disposal authorities and in the case of the Greater London Authority (GLA) in its strategic role for municipal waste management in London.
The Capitalwastefacts website uniquely brings together information about the performance of all London waste authorities in their individual roles managing municipal waste in London. The website can be accessed from the link www.capitalwastefacts.com
