LWA Corporate
London Waste Action aims to increase co-ordination between: producers of goods, retailers, manufacturers, the public, statutory local authorities and all concerned with the management of waste, reusable materials and equipment, with the aim of achieving a more sustainable approach to waste management.
Our corporate objective is to promote for the public benefit waste management practices which promote the conservation, protection, improvement and sustainability of the physical and natural environment in and around London
London Waste Action is a working partnership between the public, private and independent sectors. The company is an Environmental Body under the Government’s Landfill Tax Regulations (No 814198); a Company limited by guarantee (Registration No 3378046); and a registered charity(No 1067460). The company was established in 1997.
Membership of the company is shared by London First and London Councils.

Board meetings are also attended by a representative of the Government Office of London (GoL) who has observer status.
The Chief Executive of London Waste Action is Colin Roberts. The Company Secretary is Stephen Drury. Simon Read is Project Director, with specific responsibilities for the London Recycling Fund.
